I completely agree with you. When it comes to the campaign, I just want improvements. My main worry is still the PvP, I'm afraid the map editor will go to waste again. In my opinion, the only Far Cry game with a good PvP multiplayer was Far Cry Instincts (and Predator). The preview of Far Cry 4's PvP doesn't look to exciting so far for me
At the time, Skyrims map size was huge and major selling point but when 75% is just enviorment with no real reward for exploring it, you start noticing the wasted potential and realize it may have been big just to be big. Theres got to be a better system at gauging the "size" of a map in open world games.
What appears to be the full map of Far Cry 4 was released online ahead of the game's launch next week, showing off the different areas of the fictional region of Kyrat. Players can expect
M-79 grenade launcher: This launcher is the game's premier sidearm and it can be found at map coordinates X: 360 Y: 488 in the far northwest corner of the valley near the mission marker for the Body Armor Upgrade. This remote area is Yeti territory but acquisition of the M-79 grenade launcher will enable the player to wield it while driving.
Kyrat is a fictional representation of the Himalayas. You will explore forests, high mountains and more exotic locations you don’t see often in other FPS titles. The legend on the leaked Far Cry 4 map also shows other locations that might be important for you to note in the full game. There will be “Radio Towers”, “Outposts
The Dunia Engine itself is based on CryEngine 1 with 2-3% of the original code remaining so you're right. Got to admit that Dunia Engine is pretty solid. The game map is pretty big and detailed and the game still maintains nice framerates. If there's one thing ubisoft made well, it's their engine.
There’s also assets from previous Far Cry games, including: Far Cry 4; Far Cry Primal; Far Cry 5; You can create maps offline, but you'll be to be online when you play them.
